I am one of you. I’m way too busy (cough…lazy) to make big changes but I still want all those things I mentioned. After trying many different formulas, I finally found a perfect solution that made a major difference in my life. It completely changed how I function throughout the day and how I wrap it up. Its my magic wand.
And its called a perfect morning shake.

Thats one of the reasons I decided to switch from a large meal to a nutritional shake in the morning. I love shakes because they are quick and easy to make, they give me energy that will last all day, they curb my appetite until lunch and as an added bonus they improved my skin.
Shakes in the morning can be empty calories if you are doing it wrong. If you make a delicious shake for yourself in the morning, then an hour later you feel hungry again, it means it hasn’t really done its job. What you want from your morning shake is for it to be 1. Nutritious 2. Curb your appetite until lunch.
Here are 3 important parts of a perfect morning shake. Protein, antioxidants and essential oils.
Protein and essential oils work together to give you energy and curb your appetite. Antioxidant are obviously perfect for anti aging and immune system.
My protein in the morning comes in the form of bone broth protein powder because it is loaded with collagens and vital minerals that support the digestive system and helps with health and fitness.
My antioxidants in my shakes come from honey and berries. They’re great because honey helps fight cellular damage, boosts memory and balances hormone levels. Its also great when its that time of the month and honey helps alleviate PMS symptoms.
I get my essential oils from superfood: coconut oil. It helps with digestive problems, weight loss and fighting infections.
So without further adieu…here’s my quick and easy shake recipe that will change your life.
- Honey (1 tsp)
- Bone Broth Protein Powder (optional) (1 scoop)
- Soy Milk or Almond Milk (1 cup)
- Coconut Oil (2 tsp)
- Blueberries or any berry of your choice
- Almond butter (1 tsp)
- Coffee (1 cup)
Mix ’em all up in a blender and you’ve got yourself breakfast gold. Enjoy.
